Privacy notice

In short

• You never need to sign up, log in or give us an email address to appraise a domain.
• We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell data.
• Our application never stores your IP address. Rate limits and spam checks use a pseudonymized identifier instead: a keyed hash of the address, which we keep only for a limited time.
• Your recent appraisals, saved domains and theme choice are kept in this browser, on this device. To show whether names are listed in the marketplace, the Saved and Compare pages send those names to our server, which looks them up without storing them.
• An email address is requested only if you choose to send an inquiry or contact message.

When you appraise a domain

To produce, cache and share your report, our server stores:

• The report — the domain, your chosen perspective, and the optional intended use and notes you typed, together with the result. Reports are deleted after 30 days, and at most 100,000 are kept: beyond that, the oldest are deleted first. Anyone with a report's link can open it until it is deleted, so avoid putting confidential information in the notes.
• A cache entry pointing to that report, kept for up to 168 hours (and never longer than the report) so identical requests return the same result instantly.
• A usage log for operating the service — the domain, perspective, timing, outcome and analysis type of each request, plus the AI model and token counts when AI was used. It does not include your IP address, a visitor identifier or your notes. Entries are deleted after 180 days.
• Rate-limit counters keyed by a pseudonymized identifier: a keyed hash of your IP address, never the address itself. The hash doesn't reveal the address on its own, but whoever holds the site's secret key could test guesses against it, so it is kept only briefly. Each counter expires at the end of its time window — 10 minutes, an hour or a day, depending on the limit — and is then deleted.

To analyze the name, we send the domain, its measured facts, your perspective and any intended use or notes you provided to the AI provider configured by the site owner. We don't send your IP address or browser details to the AI provider.

When you send an inquiry or message

We store your name, email address, message, the domain it concerns and any offer you include. To help prevent abuse we also store your browser's user-agent string (shortened) and a pseudonymized keyed hash of your IP address; the hash is cleared from the inquiry after 30 days. The site owner uses your contact details only to respond. Inquiries are kept until the owner deletes them.

A copy of each inquiry (your name, email address, message and any offer) is emailed to the owner through our email provider, Resend, which processes it on our behalf.

Stored in your browser

Recent appraisals, saved domains and your light/dark preference live in this browser's local storage. They don't sync to your other browsers or devices, and you can clear them at any time from the Saved page or your browser settings.

To show whether names are listed in the marketplace, the Saved page sends your saved names to our server, and the Compare page sends the names you compare. The server answers from the public listings and doesn't store the names.

Cookies

Appraised SI sets no cookies for visitors. The only cookie we set is for the site owner's draft preview mode.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete an inquiry you sent, or a report you created, through the contact form. Include the report link or the inquiry reference shown after you sent it, so we can find it.
